Start with one recurring situation. You do not need to read the guide cover to cover before trying a sentence.

Try a complete card: leaving the playground

Say: "One more turn, then we go. Would you like the slide or the swing for your last turn?"

Do: Give the promised last turn. Stay close and guide the departure. Do not offer a second last turn because the first was upsetting.

Later: Before the next visit, agree on the last-turn signal. For a younger toddler, shorten it to "Last slide. Then home."

A manageable adult response is a useful result.

A child can be upset while a boundary stays clear. These are original educational prompts to adapt, with no promise that a sentence will stop a tantrum or change a developmental outcome.

The AAP and CDC describe clear limits, listening, appropriate choices, and specific observations. They did not review or endorse this product, and these scripts are not individualized behavioral treatment.
